When the Math Isn’t Mathing (“we,” “us”) runs mathisntmathing.com and makes the workbook When the Math Isn’t Mathing, its worksheet pack, and the free tool What Do I Pay First? This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
The short version: we don’t ask you for personal information to use this site, we don’t sell or share personal information, and we don’t use advertising trackers or tracking cookies.
What we collect
When you visit the site
We don’t ask you to create an account or give us your email to read the site or download the free tool.
Like almost every website, our hosting server automatically keeps basic technical logs: your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the date and time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure. We don’t use them to identify you.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which websites send people here. It doesn’t use cookies or track you across other sites.
When you download the free tool, our site counts the download so we know how many people it’s reaching. We don’t record your IP address or ask who you are.
We don’t use advertising tracking tools.
When you email us
If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you. We don’t add you to a mailing list.
When you buy from us
Our paid products are sold through Etsy. Etsy handles payment and checkout, and we never see your card details. Etsy shares some order information with sellers, such as your name, email address, and what you bought, so we can deliver your files and help if something goes wrong. We use that information only for your order. Etsy’s own privacy policy also applies to your purchase.
Cookies
We don’t set cookies for tracking or advertising. WordPress may set cookies that the site needs to work, for example if you leave a comment or log in.
Other services this site uses
The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser loads them, Google receives your IP address, as it does for any website that uses Google Fonts. You can read Google’s privacy policy.
The site also links to other websites, such as government benefit pages, 211, and Etsy. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we’re not responsible for how they handle your information.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your personal information.
- We don’t share it for advertising.
- We don’t ask about your income, debts, or finances. The workbook and the free tool are yours to fill in, and what you write in them stays with you.
Do Not Track
Because we don’t track visitors across websites, the site works the same way whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we’ll delete it.
How long we keep information
We keep emails and order details only as long as we need them to help you or to meet tax and record-keeping rules. Server logs are kept for a limited time by our hosting provider.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have additional rights under state law. We’ll honor those requests too.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
